Mushroom Stew

by taste black pepper
2 pcs bay leafs
1 teaspoon paprika
0.5 tablespoon chili powder

— for spicy taste

150 ml tomato juice
100 g onion
30 ml sunflower oil
400 g champignons

— fresh


Clean onion and cut it into cubes.
Clean mushrooms and cut them into large pieces. Cut larger mushrooms into 4 and smaller into 2 pieces.
It is very important for this recipe that mushrooms are cut in larger pieces.


Heat oil in the skillet of appropriate size.
When the heat is hot enough add the onion and fry it until it start to get brown. Add the mushrooms and cook until they soften.
While cooking, mushrooms will provide own liquid and usually you don’t need to add additional.
Add cayenne pepper powder, black pepper, and by taste chilli powder.
Add bay leafs.
Add tomato juice. Cook the stew for about 10 minutes more while stiring occasionally.
